Nintendo announces Labo, a series of DIY toys and peripherals

Nintendo today announced a "new interactive experience" for Switch called Labo.

A line of cardboard do-it-yourself kits, Labo allows players to build custom-made accessories for Switch games, as well as things like radio-controlled cars.

Labo kits work with the Switch console and Joy-Con controllers to become "Toy-Con" creations. For example, you can create a fishing rod peripheral to use in fishing minigames.

When Labo launches on April 20, there will be a Variety Kit which includes five Toy-Con projects: two RC cars, a fishing rod, a house, a motorbike, and a piano. It will cost AU$100.

Playground Games is indeed working on Fable – sources

Playground Games is indeed working on Fable – sources

A brand new, big-budget Fable title is in development at Forza Horizon studio Playground Games, Eurogamer sources claim.

That claim lines up with information pulled from the Xbox Live API SDK earlier this month, which showed that new games in the Fable, Perfect Dark, and MechAssault franchises might be on the way to Xbox One and Windows 10.

According to Eurogamer, more than 200 people will work on the new Fable, which is described as a story and character-focussed open-world action RPG.

The news comes just two years after Microsoft closed Fable creator Lionhead Studios and cancelled free-to-play action RPG spin-off Fable Legends.

According to former Lionhead developers, the studio had wanted to make Fable 4, but it seems Microsoft wanted something more in line with the ever-growing "online games as service" model.

Two Point Hospital is a new management sim from former Lionhead and Bullfrog developers Mark Webley and Gary Carr, working under the name Two Point Studios.

The game will have the same quirky tone of Theme Hospital – with diseases like Light Headedness, Slack Tongue, and King Complex – but according to Two Point Studios, it will very much be its own thing.

The accusations began after about 600 photoshopped images dating back to 2013 were leaked from the company.
