An actress has let slip that a new Doom film is in the works at Universal.
Last week, actress/singer Nina Bergman tweeted that she has signed up for the flick, and that the film's director is guy who is "an actors director, not scared of taking chances, thinks outside the box, writes crazy cool female characters and dialog".
Of course, there has already been one Doom film this millennium, a dismal effort starring Kiwi legend Karl Urban, Rosamund Pike, and some dude called Dwayne Johnson.
According to Bergman, the new film has a much better script than that one, but let's be honest – that's a pretty low bar.
This morning, Bergman following up with “I wasn’t really suppose [sic] to talk about it... didn’t know it would leak like this”.
A new Doom was apparently first rumoured way back in 2011, but it’s likely that the success of Bethesda’s video game reboot (and the likely existence of a sequel) has film execs interested again.
