It looks like the UEFA Champions League tournament will no longer appear in Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer.
Konami has ended its 10-year partnership with UEFA, a deal that allowed Pro Evolution Soccer exclusive game rights to the premiere European soccer tournament.
Konami's Jonas Lygaard said his company will shift its focus into other areas.
"We will continue to explore alternative ways UEFA and Konami can continue to work together, as our relationship remains strong," he said.
UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein said Konami has been a strong licensing partner for the UEFA Champions League.
"It has been a very cooperative and mutually beneficial partnership," he said.
"UEFA would like to thank Konami for its tremendous commitment and support to UEFA club competitions for the last decade and we look forward to continuing to work with Konami in the sphere of UEFA national team football."
It's possible PES rival EA Sports FIFA will pick up the UEFA rights, although there hasn’t been any official announcement yet.
