Overwatch pro Jonathan “DreamKazper” Sanchez has been suspended by the Boston Uprising while allegations of sexual misconduct against him are investigated.
There’s an in-depth look at the situation over on Kotaku, but the allegations basically boil down to Sanchez grooming underage girls online (one of which he knew to be 14 years old, and another he knew was 15).
Sanchez, who is 21, allegedly asked for and received nude pictures from at least one of the girls.
PC Gamer reports that at least one retailer is exchanging Sanchez’s jersey free of charge.
The Overwatch League has had several problems with player behaviour in its first season.
Dallas Fuel's Félix "xQc" Lengyel was banned once for homophobia and again for racism, which saw the Fuel release him.
Another Dallas Fuel player, Timo "Taimou" Kettunen was fined for using homophobic slurs on his personal stream.
The London Spitfires' Jun-Young "Profit" Park was fined for making an obscene gesture on camera during a match.
Houston Outlaws coach Tae-yeong "TaiRong" Kim was reprimanded for sharing an offensive meme on social media.
Last week, the Philadelphia Fusion banned and fined Josh "Eqo" Corona after he made a racist gesture during a stream.
Other players have been suspended for account boosting and account sharing, which are violations of Blizzard's terms of service.
