An Aussie game that looks to provide quick blasts of strategy gameplay is out now for PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam.
Attrition: Tactical Fronts is pitched as a quick play turn-based strategy game for one or two players.
It looks to offer strategic variety and depth despite match times that can be as short as five minutes.
A classic World War inspired game, Attrition features a full 17 mission campaign, and a skirmish mode that can be played against AI or another player on procedurally generated maps. Multiplayer stat tracking and progression is coming soon.
Players can also create and share custom maps with other players via Steam Workshop.
There are 11 unique World War themed unit types, and 15 terrain types with a range of distinctive gameplay modifiers including modelling of suppression, deployment constraints, elevation, and more.
"Easy to learn for newcomers to strategy gaming but still challenging for masters of the genre, this addictive fast-paced game of tiny heroics will appeal to any armchair general," said Canberra-based developer Cardboard Keep.
Attrition: Tactical Fronts is available now at a launch week special of 20 percent off.
