The studio behind the Infamous series is making an open world samurai epic.
Sucker Punch today revealed Ghost of Tsushima, a game set in Feudal Japan that has players fighting back invaders, mastering the katana, firing a six-foot-tall long bow, and building their legend as “the Ghost”,
The game is set in 1274, when the Mongol army invaded Japan. In Ghost of Tsushima, you play as a battered samurai, fighting back against overwhelming odds.
"I’ve been a fan of samurai comics since 5th grade, from Lone Wolf and Cub to Usagi Yojimbo," said game director Nate Fox
"The types of characters, landscapes, betrayal, and sacrifice in those stories are a rich vein ready to be translated into a video game."
