Uppercut Games has released the first major content update for City of Brass.

Update 0.2 ("Catacombs") brings a brooding underworld environment packed with new perils to the Aussie action RPG.

Here's some flavour:

Long before the city was built, the caverns beneath silently waited, transforming through the ages into a place of dread – part tomb, part dungeon. No one who suffers its cold, dark embrace would stay any longer than necessary; but the lure of its forgotten treasures may be too strong for a master thief… Will fate deliver riches or death?
City of Brass goes underground in latest update

The descent into the underworld brings players the new catacomb environment, fresh enemies, relics and a deadly new trap.

Uppercut has also been busy tuning gameplay, adding more loot and health, and improving the feedback players get when relics activate.

"Early Access is working well for us – the feedback has been just as useful as we’d hoped and we’re looking forward to continuing the process of improving playability and adding fresh content," said art director Andrew James.

City of Brass is available here on Steam via Early Access.

It will be released for PlayStation 4 systems and Xbox One in 2018 after the final release of the PC version.
