The reach of Xbox One's backwards compatibility extends further into the past tomorrow, at which time 13 original Xbox titles will be playable.

You can play these original Xbox games on Xbox One through a disc you already own, or you can purchase the games digitally in the Microsoft Store.

According to Microsoft, original Xbox games will look better than ever on Xbox One thanks to pixel counts that are up to four times higher.

On the upcoming Xbox One X, original Xbox game pixel counts will be up to 16 times higher, and backwards compatible Xbox 360 games will run at higher resolutions, with up to nine times their original pixel counts, and with expanded colour details.

Since these are original games and not remasters, Xbox Live services such as online multiplayer will not be available. However, offline multiplayer scenarios such as co-op and system-link are supported.

There will also be no Achievements for original Xbox games because this functionality was also not available when these games first released.

Here are the first 13 original Xbox games to hot backwards compatibility tomorrow:

BloodRayne 2
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge
Dead to Rights
Fuzion Frenzy
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
King of Fighters Neowave
Ninja Gaiden Black
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Red Faction II
Sid Meier’s Pirates!
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

At E3 this year, Microsoft announced that its Xbox One backwards compatibility program would soon include original Xbox games.

"We created the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program for our fans and we’re thrilled with the response we’ve seen – gamers have spent more than 700M hours playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One," the company said.
