PikPok has announced a sequel to smash hit endless runner Into the Dead, a free-to-play game that has been downloaded more than 70 million times to date.

According to the Kiwi publisher, Into the Dead 2 is a deeper and more feature rich title than the first, and it will launch worldwide on October 13 for Android, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

It is already be available in New Zealand, Australia and a handful of other countries on the App Store and Google Play

It features an evolving story with multiple endings, hundreds of challenges, powerful weapons and perks, multiple environments, new zombie threats, daily and special event modes, loyal canine companions, and more.

In Into the Dead 2, players journey through the zombie apocalypse in a race to save their family. Armed with an arsenal of powerful weapons, players must fend off ever-increasing zombie threats while crossing treacherous terrain. In a world where no one is safe, players must do whatever it takes to keep moving; whether it’s slaying zombies from atop vehicles, stabbing them to survive, or risking going after them on foot. With their family’s rescue and reunion on the line, players will be pushed on far they are willing to go to make it out alive.
