The next game from Aussie indie Black Lab Games, Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, is out now on Steam.
The game will come to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 "later".
Black Lab's debut was the similarly space-y Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy.
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock tells an original story set during the First Cylon War, where you will fight epic 3D battles and strategically defend the Twelve Colonies.
You'll design and build fleets, recruit officers, and engage in intense tactical space battles in full 3D. Expect Vipers, Battlestars, and brand new ships designed specifically for the game.
There's also a multiplayer mode that provides fierce 1v1 fleet battles.
"Build up your forces and jump them across the quaternary solar system of Cyrannus," reads the game's description. "Keep the Colonies safe and the Quorum of Twelve unified, lest the alliance break and introduce a new age of Cylon dominance."
At least one Brit – a cynical one, even – appears to be enjoying it:
oh and the after-battle replay stitches it all together into a cinematic looking realtime battle which kicks arse— John Bain (@Totalbiscuit) August 31, 2017
