Bungie has given Destiny 2's PC Beta event a date in its weekly community update.

For those that have pre-ordered, Early Access will begin on August 28, with the Beta opening to all the following day. The Beta will conclude on August 31 2 meaning PC players won't enjoy a weekend of Destiny 2 until the game's release.

Specific times for when the servers go live are yet to be detailed.

The news comes in the wake of the game's console beta, which saw millions of players participate on both PlayStation and Xbox.

In addition to the date for Destiny 2's Beta event, Bungie shared the recommended and minimum specifications required to play on PC.

Recommended Specs:

Intel - Core i5-2400
AMD - Ryzen R5 1600X
Nvidia - GeForce GTX 970
AMD - Radeon R9 390
8GB of RAM

Minimum Specs:
Intel - Core i3-3250
AMD - FX-4350
Nvidia - GeForce GTX 660 2GB
AMD - Radeon HD 7850 2GB
6GB of RAM

Bungie noted that these specs are for the Beta, and could change before launch on October 24.
