EA has announced that The Sims 4 is coming to consoles.
From November 17, those with the desire to sit on their couch and play a game that includes... sitting on a couch can do just that on PS4 or Xbox One.
Sims titles have released to console previously, but usually as a watered down port. Sims 4 senior producer, Michael Duke stated that this is no longer the case.
"The current generation of hardware has enabled us to translate code to PlayStation 4 without any major system changes," Duke told the PlayStation Blog. "It is no longer about which platform has the superior version, but where you like to play."
On top of representing the same gameplay style as PC and Mac, The Sims 4's release to console will include many of the additional content updates that were added to the PC version post-launch.
In Gameplanet's review, Siobhan Keogh noted that the game was a "visual and mechanical upgrade," but was missing many of the things Sims fans are used to.
The Sims 4 will release to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 17, and is available to pre-order at Mighty Ape.
