Tickets are now available for New Zealand’s premier game development conference.

The New Zealand Game Developers Conference (NZGDC) is an annual professional game development conference for primarily a New Zealand audience. It focuses on practical and inspirational content, and provides networking opportunities with international guests.

The theme this year, Luck by Design, is about dispelling the myth of overnight success.

"The NZGDA is dedicated to working with Kiwi studios to grow New Zealand's game industry to a $1 billion dollar sector within 10 years, and NZGDC is key to stimulating that growth," said NZGDA Chairperson James Everett.

"NZGDC is an opportunity for developers to come together to share their knowledge and experiences, and help each other in the pursuit of making great, globally recognised games.

"The NZ game industry has seen more than 350% growth since 2012, and we can accelerate it further by equipping developers with the tools to create sustainable momentum.”

Last year NZGDC drew more than 500 game developers to Auckland. It expects this year to be even bigger, with a full three day programme of workshops, talks, and panels across every aspect of game development.

NZGDC17 will take place on September 6-8 at Auckland’s AUT University.

Tickets can be purchased here, and you can sign up to volunteer at the event here.
