One of the big reveals at the Xbox E3 press conference this year was Anthem, a shared world action RPG from BioWare.
The game is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, but Microsoft presumably did some kind of deal with BioWare so it had the rights to show the game at its showcase running on its upcoming Xbox One X console.
Overnight, Sony uploaded that E3 footage to its YouTube channel, but with PlayStation button prompts superimposed over the existing Xbox ones. Cheeky!
It later removed the video, but not before Eurogamer got a screenshot of the edit.
It's hard to fathom why this would have been done if Sony is actually allowed to use Anthem footage, but perhaps it just misplaced its own file and was too embarrassed to ask for another one? Whatever the case, some folks have pointed out that Anthem could look better on Xbox One X ("the world's most powerful console") than it does even on PlayStation 4 Pro, and thus Sony is possibly guilty of some kind of deception.
I'll leave it to the internet to concoct an appropriate punishment.
