The former CEO of Playdead is working on another moody side-scroller.

Playdead co-founder Dino Patti's new studio is a UK venture called Jumpship, and it is making a sci-fi action adventure called Somerville, a teaser for which you can watch below.

Patti left Playdead last July after 10 years with the company, over which time it released a pair of lauded titles in Limbo and Inside.

He is working as an executive producer on Somerville.

The lead developer at Jumpship is Chris Olsen, who did some animation on Ninja Theory's Heavenly Sword, but has spent most of his career in the film industry, working on high-profile releases like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Iron Man 2, Edge of Tomorrow, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

"It's been amazing to meet a guy like Chris," Patti said.

"Besides being a very talented individual, he has also been capable of fulfilling all the roles of a small development team. We are now looking for more talent to help us on this journey."

Olsen described Somerville as a passion project long in the making.

"It's a dream come true to be given the opportunity to bring others on who can help to make Somerville everything it can be," Olsen said.

"Dino is a great collaborator and his pedigree challenges every facet of the process. We're excited to show you what Jumpship has to offer."
