Ubisoft unveiled a pirate multiplayer game called Skull and Bones at its E3 2017 press conference this morning.

According to Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, Skull & Bones builds off the legacy of one of the company's most popular games. Presumably he meant Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, as the two games look very similar.

Skull and Bones is multiplayer-focused experience with separate modes. Each player gets their own ship, and must keep an eye on wind and their sail positions in order to outmaneuver opponents. There will be PvP and PvE modes.

Skull and Bones is slated for a release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC in spring 2018.
