Skylanders Academy is coming to the small screen, via a Netflix-exclusive season of television.

Activision's toys-to-life franchise will hit the streaming service in a worldwide release on October 28.

The series was announced in June, and will feature the voices of Justin Long, Ashley Tisdale, and Jonathan Banks, among others.

Its premise is as follows:

As darkness begins to threaten the balance of peace in the Skylands, Master Eon is forced to assemble a ragtag group of heroes to protect the universe from evil-doers Kaos and the Doom Raiders.

Using their unique blend of personalities and elemental-based super powers, Spyro and his fellow Skylanders are called upon to set aside egos as they come together to maintain harmony and balance in the land.

A second season has already been greenlit and is expected in late 2017.

Skylanders Academy will release shortly after the series' latest game, Imaginators, which drops on October 13. As announced at E3, the game will feature Crash Bandicoot.
