Sony is expected to formally unveil its new, high-end version of the PlayStation 4 console, codenamed Neo, as well as the new Slim model, whose reveal will be rendered anticlimactic due to leaks.

A slight redesign of the DualShock 4 controller is also expected, having already shown up alongside PS4 Slim retail units.

PlayStation VR will also likely be demonstrated and hyped in advance of its October launch date.

The new hardware will likely be demonstrated using Sony's slate of upcoming exclusives, like The Last Guardian, God of War, or Horizon Zero Dawn, while the more-distant Death Stranding and Spider-Man could also make an appearance.

Tune in live at 7am New Zealand time or 5am Australian Eastern time to watch the proceedings unfold.
