Ubisoft is looking to join Disney, Universal, and WB by opening a theme park based on its most popular franchises.

Located in Kuala Lumpur, the theme park is planned to sprawl over 10,000 square metres and feature rides, shows, and attractions based on - according to Ubisoft - franchises like Assassin's Creed, Just Dance, and Rabbids.

The project is led by Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the division of the company responsible for its upcoming film adaptations, collaborating with RSG, co-developer of Movie Animation Park Studios.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures senior VP Jean de Rivières describes the park: “Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game.”

The division previously produced the Rabbids ride at Futuroscope in France.

As yet unnamed, the Kuala Lumpur park is set to open in 2020.
