Adventure game specialist Sierra is making a return.
The studio was acquired by Activision and promptly closed in 2008, but a new teaser and website are heralding its return.
Sierra was huge in the ‘80s, and responsible for a number of iconic adventure franchises including King’s Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest, and Leisure Suit Larry.
In the 90s it developed Gabriel Knight and hilariously terrible interactive movie Phantasmagoria, and also published Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon games.
This century its biggest claims to fame are probably that it published Homeworld 2, World in Conflict, and Timeshift.
Expect more details to emerge at Gamescom this week.
