Laptop and computer developer iBuyPower has revealed its prototype Steam Machine, due out next year.
As reported by The Verge, iBuyPower’s box houses a multicore AMD CPU and discrete AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card, a wi-fi adapter, Bluetooth, integrated power supply, and a 500GB hard drive.
It will come with a Steam Controller, and retail for US$499 (NZ$609).
The company said its Steam Machine is larger than a PlayStation 4 but smaller than an Xbox One, and that its light bar is “fully customisable”.
Existing Steam for Linux games should run at full 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, it added.
