Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi has left Namco Bandai less than a week after delivering a forthright interview with blog The Setup.
In it, Takahashi said he makes videogames “for the so-so company Namco Bandai Games Inc.,” adding, “I am so inefficient I only made four games in 11 years.”
Takahashi has had a reputation for controversial statements. After finishing Katamari, he rounded on games, saying, “Children would be better off playing outside.”
