Report – Medal of Honor yanked from GameStop military stores (vg247) - All GameStop stores on US military bases are to stop taking pre-orders for Medal of Honor, according to a Kotaku report.

DJ Hero 2 gets RZA (vg247) - RZA is to feature in DJ Hero 2, Activision said today.

The The Wu-Tang Clan founder joins Deadmau5, David Guetta, DJ Qbert, and Tiesto for the game, and will include two unique mixes.

Dead Rising aiming to replace Resident Evil as Capcom’s biggest IP, says Inafune (vg247) - Capcom’s Keiji Inafune has told Eurogamer it’s aiming for Dead Rising to replace Resident Evil as king of IPs at the firm.

“The goal for Dead Rising 2 is to replace the Resident Evil franchise and become number one IP within Capcom,” Inafune told the site.

Ubisoft cautious over new IP, remains focused on established franchises (Joystiq) - Ubisoft Europe managing director Alain Corre isn't one to parse words -- for instance, he told GamesIndustry.biz in a recent interview, "The games that are not triple-A are not profitable anymore. And that's changed in the last 18 months." He admitted that "we are still releasing some new franchises," citing Ruse as a calculated aberration. "It's a niche so we know the size of the market for real-time strategy games ... with niche games it's possible to have a hit more than in the triple-A space, especially in the fourth and fifth year of the console cycle."

US army bases have GameStop?... Wow random. Also random that all they did is stop the preorders as of mid-day which meant they could still go into the shop and preorder before 12. Not sure why the US army would do something like that when EA talked to US soldiers when creating the game, and designed it round that

Stuff Dead Rising, Capcom bring us a HORROR Resident Evil, I remeber playing the PS1 games and not wanting to to carry on playing cause I knew something was going to scare me just round the corner

Yeah well i think dead rising would easily replace the R E series.
More zombies = win!

Rezzi evil has stemmed away from zombies.
While Resident evil 5 was a good game in itself it didnt have the scares that the Original 2 games had.

I would prefer the old RE over dead rising anyday. I hope they go back to that next time.

i could be wrong,but from wat ive seen of Dead Rising 2 it seems like a mindless Zombie killer game,R E titles at least had some story to them.

Basically a single player, sandbox version of L4D1 with a ton of weapons.
It's fun but I have doubts about it's longevity.
