According to sources close to website Kotaku, Duke Nukem Forever is back in development, this time at Gearbox, the creators of Borderlands. Gearbox was known to be working on a spin-off Duke Nukem title, Duke Nukem Begins.
Gearbox is said to be picking up where prior developer 3D Realms dropped the project. The source also alludes to a playable demo that may be released later this year.
Randy Pitchford, Gearbox majordomo, has also hinted that more information may be forthcoming at the Penny Arcade Expo, which kicks off in early September.
