Activision Publishing confirmed today that Prototype will ship to New Zealand on the 12th June.
The games official website has also been updated, and now features the first half of Prototype's intro cinematic, along with newly added game information and content.
In Prototype, players assume the role of Alex Mercer – a genetically mutated man without memory, armed with shape-shifting abilities, who is hunting to discover what created him.
As Alex, gamers tear through a densely populated contemporary New York City consuming anybody that gets in their way whilst assuming their physical form, memories and abilities. Fuelled by a three-way war between Alex, the Blackwatch (military) and a viral outbreak known as the Infected, players venture into a conspiracy forty years in the making.
Prototype will be available for the Xbox 360, Games for Windows and PS3.
