Project Shield will push gaming forward, says Nvidia marketing director Jason Paul.
“We thought that Project Shield would raise the bar for Android and PC gaming,” he told MCV.
“When we looked at the complexity of the device, with all the streaming tech, we came to the conclusion that we had a device that only we could build ourselves. It is a natural step for us."
Paul also stated that his company was looking for distributors in Europe.
“We want to sprint to get it into the key markets in Europe and Asia. Since the announcement we’ve had people knocking on our door. So there’s interest in distributing the product.”
Best known for its graphics cards, Nvidia unveiled Project Shield at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last month.
It plays Android titles and can stream games from a PC – through to a TV if required.
A turn-based Arma title is exclusive to the handheld.
