Nintendo is working on a fix for the Wii U’s long OS load times, president Satoru Iwata says.
Iwata announced the news in the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, but didn’t give a release date for the patch.
Currently, the Wii U takes between five and 45 seconds to load and exit applications such as the Miiverse and settings menu.
In related news, thieves in the States have made off with an estimated US$2 million worth of Wii U consoles.
According to ABC, 7000 consoles were stolen from a warehouse in Seattle last Saturday evening.
The thieves filled two 53-foot semi-truck trailers and a large box-truck van with the goods using forklifts, before making their escape.
