Namco Bandai will alter a stage in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 after fans let the developer know that it was potentially offensive to Muslims.
Two Twitter users contacted Tekken creator and producer Katsuhiro Harada to request the game’s Saudi Arabia stage be modified as it had the sacred name of Allah written on the floor.
“Can you please remove it from the Saudi Arabia Stage its if very offensive to muslims! thank you,” read a tweet from iSymbiox.
“There's a huge mistake by putting allah's name on floor,” wrote Dengo.
“We didn't know that. We will change stage design data as soon as possible. We couldn't read that,” replied Harada.
Earlier this month a Call of Duty map was withdrawn from servers after a player complained that it featured Muslim text in a bathroom – something forbidden by the religion.
