Frogster’s remake of Speedball 2 lets PC players select between three distinct player classes. Action aficionados can create their individual team formation from hard-boiled male Gladiators, smart Amazons and resistant Cyborgs. Each class not only differs in visual appearance but also embodies important game-play attributes through the balance of the six fundamental skills: speed, aggressiveness, accuracy, power, resistance and stamina.

Team management plays a crucial role in both the single-player game and in multiplayer matches. A careful choice of team members for every position of the line-up can decide between victory or defeat. Players can even switch from an offensive, defensive or counter tactical setup in real-time during the game.

The futuristic Cyborg has the best resistance of the three player classes due to its entirely metal body. However his stamina level is the lowest, so he needs to recover energy as often as possible. Overall, the Cyborg is the best all round player who can play easily on every position on the pitch, but is the least specialised of the three classes.

For all three team skins of the retail version, Kylotonn designed a high polygon model of each class that differs decisively in its look.
