It’s our great pleasure to appoint Matt Maguire to the role of editor at Gameplanet New Zealand today.

Many of you will know of Matt already, and know him as a very talented writer with a clear and balanced approach to the task of reporting on games, gaming culture, and the industry itself. Most importantly, Matt has quickly embraced Gameplanet’s ethos, and he understands and shares our vision for the future of Gameplanet, and of what games reportage can be.

Matt takes over the New Zealand editorship from Dan Cheer. In his tenure, Dan was instrumental in shaping Gameplanet's editorial direction. We wish him all the best for the future, and we'll miss his inimitable brand of dry humour.

Matt’s appointment, and our recent expansion into Australia mark two of several important milestones toward the future of Gameplanet, and we look forward to sharing more about this with you all in the near future.
