Gameplanet was launched way back in 2000. We are the largest and most popular games-related web site in New Zealand (and modest, too). Our mission is to create a great community for kiwi gamers to interact in, and be the first place that kiwi gamers go for info about games.
Gameplanet covers the latest gaming news every day, along with critical reviews, previews, videos, feature stories, blogs and more.
GP Forums is a community forum discussion site and one of the largest and busiest internet communites of any kind in New Zealand. As well as games, there are active forums covering hardware & technology, cars & motorsport, movies, music, sports, politics, literature and more.
Gameplanet is run from a little one-room office (we're still working on the underground lair) in Albany on Auckland's North Shore. Gameplanet employs two full-time staff and gratefully relies upon the generous contributions of a team of volunteer writers and forum community members.
Gameplanet has won "Best Game Related Site" at the People's Choice NetGuide Web Awards for four years running, in 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2006. We also won "Best Youth Site" back in 2002.
